With many of the same features as its P3 brother, the Cervelo P2 105 Triathlon Bike 2017 is a great choice for the time trialist of triathletes on a budget. The differences that keep this bike at such a competitive and attractive price point are the components used. High-end Profile Design Abs shifters have been paired with the just as competent, Shimano 105 5800, Profile Design and FSA parts.
Cervelo knows how to cater for all disciplines and distances with their two-holed seatpost pairing perfectly with a specific Cervelo XLab Rear Carrier such as the Delta 300 (sold separately). The two top tube bottle bosses mean you can also attach a hydration system directly under your nose for all your nutritional needs.
Cervelo realises this is a great entry-level triathlon bike and with such a high quality, race-ready frame, you may at a later date want to upgrade parts or the groupset. They have addressed this by making the P2 frame mechanical, hydraulic and electronic compatible.
With racing being this bike's forte it has been designed carefully to comply with UCI Federation guidelines, making it the perfect bike for time trials as well as triathlon and Ironman events.
An amazing range of sizes is available, a very nice touch when a lot of manufacturers offer such limited aero frame sizes.
The finishing kit is provided by Profile Design with an adjustable aero bar setup, and comfortable pads, designed for the most ergonomic, aerodynamic ride possible.
Shimano RS010 wheels have been added, which are lightweight, solid and smooth spinning. These wheels are paired with Continental Grand Sport Race 25mm tyres that offer excellent levels of grip and puncture resistance.
A very comfortable, high-quality, triathlon-specific ISM Prologue saddle adds the finishing touch to what is a highly competent, fast affordable, race-ready triathlon bike.
