NYTRON
Developed and engineered in the wind tunnel with the collaboration of Swiss Side world-class aerodynamic experts, Nytron blends ultimate safety and excellent aerodynamic performance with compact and light design. Thanks to the scientific combination of massive exhaust vents and internal directional power flow channels, Nytron's incredible ventilation keeps the rider's head cool, lowering body temperature and thus enhancing overall performance. Nytron exceeds the Rudy Project WG11 experimental protocol test. The WG11 rotational impact test is a protocol adopted by the Rudy Project, in cooperation with accredited and notified bodies, to test and measure the performance of the helmets against rotational impacts.
15 Vents
Nytron's 15 scientifically configured vents and internal directional airflow channels ensure unparalleled ventilation regardless of rider position. Nytron's ventilation provides unsurpassed heat dissipation and, therefore, better internal body temperature regulation. This ventilation benefits an athlete's performance for road, triathlon, and time trial challenges.
Decreasing the Body Temperature and Increasing Performance
Massive Ventilation
Ventilation makes Nytron a game-changer in the aero road helmet category. Many scientific studies demonstrate that head cooling enhances performance by significantly reducing the adverse effects of rising core body temperature. For this reason, Nytron has been designed to combine the ultimate aerodynamic performance with the best possible ventilation. Intensive wind tunnel testing has proven that Nytron's fifteen scientifically configured vents and internal directional airflow channels ensure unparalleled ventilation regardless of rider position.
WG11 Rotational
At Rudy Project, we are committed to developing products aimed at the highest level of safety, exceeding requirements set by international standards, such as the CE or CPSC norms. Today our goal is to go even further by overpassing a new experimental testing protocol based on actual accident data and scientific sources. The Rudy Project WG11 rotational impact test is a protocol adopted by the Rudy Project, in cooperation with accredited and notified bodies, to test and measure the performance of the helmets against rotational impacts. The Rudy Project WG11 "pass-fail" criterion is based on the BRIC (Brain Injury Criterion) value, an algorithm that defines the level of brain injury. This value must be less than 0,68. Several studies showed that concussive values of BRIC for humans varied from 0.60 when scaled directly from animal data to 0.68 when obtained directly from college football players.
Triple in Mold Construction
In-Mold technology allows us to cast the external polycarbonate outer shell directly during the injection stage of the expandable polystyrene (EPS) impact-absorbing foam. The result is a much more rigid structure that is knock-resistant and extremely light, allowing for a better ventilation system. The combined action of the EPS structure, the polycarbonate cap, and the exo-skeleton creates resistance to the mechanical movement exercised by an impact. It dissipates the energy to prevent it from being transferred to the head of the person wearing the helmet.
