To remove the crank, use an 8mm hex to remove the crankset fixing screw. Screw the thick part of the crankset remover into the crank and tighten it with a wrench. Tighten the thin end of the crankset remover by hand clockwise. Use a wrench to twist firmly to lift the chainring off.
