Our classic hardtails are the backbone of our range and showcase the enormous wealth of experience and knowledge we've gained in half a century of bike production and manufacturing—the BIG.NINE range symbolizes the symbiosis between modern frame technology, attention to detail, and craftsmanship that 'Made in Taiwan' signifies.
Featuring a 100 mm air suspension fork and easy-to-accelerate, nimble 27.5" wheels, the BIG.SEVEN 100 allows you to cover ground efficiently and in perfect control. The slightly more minimalistic double chainring setup provides a broad range of gears, ideal for long off-road sessions and fast blasts through the urban jungle. The slightly more upright riding position puts less strain on the lower back and improves the visibility of what lies ahead.
Big.Nine/Seven TFS Frame
6061 double-butted and techno-formed aluminum frame with more relaxed geometry. Comes equipped with class-leading, premium technologies such as smooth welding, tapered head tube, inboard disc mounts, internal cable routing, and F, C, and K-mounts.
Size Specific Wheels
Dependent on frame size, we offer 650B or 29er versions on our TFS and SPEED frame levels. The requirements of smaller riders (reduced standover height, preferred lower cockpit) are best met by 650B on S and M frame sizes, while at the other side of the spectrum, L and XL only come with 29er wheels. Size M is available in either 650B or 29er.
New Speed Frame
Following the TFS frame introduced in 2018, the SPEED frame is now in line to get a makeover for 2019. The introduction of slim tube shapes creates a new look and a more relaxed geometry through a shorter top tube and a higher head tube, resulting in a more upright riding position and enhanced trail visibility. The new frame also comes with IS brake mounts positioned within the rear triangle and with kickstand and fender mounts.
Dropper Post Ready
All models are down to the BIG. NINE LITE frame-level features a 30.9 mm seat post; the enhanced connection area increases the strength around the top tube/seat tube join and allows the option of fitting a dropper seat post—models down to BIG. NINE LIMITED allows internal cable routing for the dropper post, while the remaining models require external routing.

Smart Entry
Cables, housings, and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough. All inlets are interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cables, gear cable housings, etc.
Modern Hardtail Geometry
Our carbon and LITE aluminum models feature a long 422 mm reach, steep 73.5° seat angle, slack 70° head angle, and an 80 mm stem (BIG.NINE – M), affording the BIG.NINE next-generation XC geometry. Aggressive agility meets stable calmness, perfect for today's demanding courses.

X-Taper Headtube
Our X-Tapered headtube offers the space for a tapered fork to be fitted. Tapered forks offer superb stiffness and precision and deliver confidence-inspiring steering.
Internal Cable Routing
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, while the wires are protected from moisture and dirt.
Smooth Welding
Sometimes called 'double pass welding, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance, you will be convinced it is carbon.
Down Tube Exit
Ensures that internally routed cables and wires can't move freely and remain easily accessible for servicing.
Racelite 61 Aluminium
We use a minimum of 6061 aluminum. The payback is that making lighter and more advanced frames is possible. We use additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thicknesses to produce light and stiff frames.
TFS - Techno Forming System
Technoforming is a mechanical forming process, shaping the tubes using harmful molds, sometimes combined with an internal metal core.
F-Mount
'F-Mount' equipped bikes have integrated fittings for mud guards (some bikes require model-specific mud guards), making fitting fast and simple.
K-Mount
Integrated mount on the chainstay to fit a MERIDA kickstand (or any commercial kickstand).
C-Mount
Similar to our F-MOUNT, where various fixing points for mudguards are part of the frame offering, the C-MOUNT-equipped bikes have the fixing points for a rear rack already integrated, making fitting fast, simple, and reliable. The C-MOUNTS are an additional feature that improves the day-to-day versatility by adding loading capacity to your bike, ideal for commuting and shopping trips. Please note that some bikes require model-specific rear racks.
